CLAW Terms and Conditions!

PERSONAL AND PUBLIC HEALTH GUIDANCE

  1. We are encouraging all CLAW attendees to get the Monkeypox vaccination, and to engage in frank conversations with potential play partners about MPV risks factors prior to engaging in intimate activity. As a reminder, the Monkeypox vaccination is a two shot series. Consult with your healthcare provider to ensure that you have completed the full Monkeypox vaccination series.
  2. Each day of CLAW we ask that you assess your own personal health before attending. If you feel sick, are running a fever, or experiencing other symptoms of illness, we ask that you refrain from attending and take care of your own health so that you may return the following day, or the following year.
  3. We cannot anticipate every possible scenario. We respectfully ask that each person who attends CLAW take everyone's health and well being into consideration so that we can all have a safe, fun, and healthy weekend!
  4. We will do our best to ensure that this year's event is safe for everyone, but ask for your assistance in helping us achieve that goal.
  5. Please note, these guidelines are subject to change, based on the evolving public health guidance and ground level circumstances.

CLAW PACKAGES AND EVENTS - You must have a valid CLAW package at time of check in to stay in the host hotel.

Attendee Packages

Attendee Packages are charged in full at the time of purchase. Cancellations made one full month before the first day of the event can receive a 100% refund, donate the package back to CLAW or to a community member of your choice. No refunds after the one month period before the first day of the event has passed. 

Package Levels

  • Early Bird: Save by purchasing Standard Registration up to 90 days before the first day of the event.
  • Standard Registration: Available withing the 3 months leading up to the first day of the event.
  • On-Site Registration: Onsite registration starts the first day of the event.
  • VIP Package: There are limited numbers of VIP packages per event available to the general public.

Volunteers Packages

By signing up, volunteers agree to show up for all assigned shifts. Conflict in scheduling must be resolved with Guest Services before the start of the event. Guest Services reserves the right to reassign all shifts based on the requirements of the event.

If a volunteer fails to show up for one or more of their shifts, the credit card on file will be charged an attendance fee; if a volunteer fails to complete their assigned shifts in full, the credit card of file will be charged an attendance fee. (Attendance fees may include full or partial price of an attendee package and/or hotel room occupancy if applicable). It is the responsibility of the volunteer to check in immediately before every assigned shifts in Guest Services. It is the responsibility of the volunteer to ask for confirmation of their assigned shifts at registration check in upon arrival.

Fees

  • 3-shift Volunteer: $1 (non-refundable)
  • Super Volunteer: Fee Waived
  • Recruited: $1 (non-refundable)

Hotel Rooms: Deposit, Payment, and Refund Policy - You must have a valid CLAW registation package of some kind to stay in the host hotel.

All Room cancellations and changes must be directed to the hotel. This includes early check in, late checkout and acquiring joining rooms.

Minimum Night Requirement:

All reservations must include Friday and Saturday of the event weekend. A 3-night (4-night for Premium Suites) minimum stay is required.

Vendor Mart Booth Reservation: Deposit, Payment, and Refund Policy

  • Booth space as per the vendor sign up sheet.
  • Booth fee as per the vendor sign up sheet.
  • RETURNING VENDORS: Full payment must be received two months before the event date to guarantee spot and priority.

  • 2 months before the event start date a 100% refund will be available.
  • No refunds will given with two months of the event start date.
  • Checks that do not clear processing by CLAW's bank for insufficient funds or any other reason will result in the cancellation of the vendor's registration and assessment of a $40 service fee.
  • Vendors are responsible for payment of all state sales taxes.
  • By completing a CLAW Vendor Mart Registration Form, I certify that my business, employees and helpers will abide by all of the rules and regulations imposed by the host hotel, local fire officials and law enforcement agencies, and those imposed by CLAW Corp. for all attendees.
  • Violation of any of the rules established by CLAW Corp. may be grounds for removal from this event without any reimbursement of fees paid.
  • All vendors must have proof of $1,000,000 liability insurance.

Equipment Rental Agreement: Deposit, Payment, and Refund Policy

  • Sling rental: $100 + $150 Deposit refunded when equipment is returned in good condition.
  • Rim seat rental: $50 + $75 Deposit refunded when equipment is returned in good condition.
  • Upon clean return, any deposit will be refunded to your credit card. $50 will be deducted from the deposit if the equipment requires cleaning. Incomplete returns will not receive a return deposit.
  • Equipment may be picked up at the onsite registration during the hours of opereation.
  • No delivery or setup available.
  • Returns: To registration no later than Noon on the Sunday of the event.
  • If there is a change to the pick-up or drop-off location, we will email you in advance.
  • Upon clean return, any deposit will be refunded to your credit card. $50 will be deducted from the deposit if the equipment requires cleaning. Incomplete returns will not receive a return deposit.
  • Equipment that is not returned will have the replacement cost charged to the card on file.
  • Cancellation fee: $20

Art After Dark - CLAW's Kinky Art Show and Store Terms and Conditions

    Zero Tolerance Content Policy:
    Submissions must not include any imagery, symbols, text, or themes that promote, glorify, encourage, justify, or normalize hatred, discrimination, harassment, or violence against any identifiable individual or group. CLAW reserves the sole and absolute right to reject, remove, or refuse display or sale of any artwork that violates this policy, at any time, without notice or obligation.

  • The artist warrants that they are the original creator of the submitted artwork, hold clear and unencumbered title to the work, and that all descriptions provided are true and accurate.
  • There is no entry or application fee. Artists selected for the show agree to contribute a donation (artwork or gear) to the CLAW 26 Silent Auction.
  • Artists will be notified of acceptance no later than March 21, 2025.
  • All artwork must be delivered in a ready-to-hang condition (e.g., sawtooth hanger or wire). Artwork not ready to hang may be refused and returned at the artist’s expense.
  • Artists are responsible for all shipping costs to and from the host hotel in Columbus. If return of unsold artwork is requested, a prepaid return shipping label must be provided (emailed in advance or physically included) by April 16, 2025.
  • li>Artists may choose to donate unsold artwork to CLAW, a 501(c)(3) charity. Donation receipts are available upon request.
  • All media types are acceptable, subject to approval.
  • Artist attendance at CLAW is not required.
  • By participating, artists agree to have their approved artwork offered for sale during CLAW.
  • Artists receive 70% of gross sales; 30% supports CLAW’s charitable mission.
  • Only approved works will be accepted. CLAW will not manage, store, or return any unapproved artwork.
  • All approved works must be shipped with a return shipping label. CLAW’s preferred carrier is DHL.
  • CLAW Corp, its employees, contractors, and volunteers are not financially responsible for loss, theft, or damage to artwork or other property on site or during transit.
  • Shipping and vendor insurance is strongly recommended.
  • Artists grant CLAW the right to use images of submitted artwork for promotion and publicity across social media, websites, print materials, and newsletters without additional approval, credit, or compensation.
  • Automatically generated or AI-created images are not permitted in the exhibition.
  • Artist Appreciation Pass:
    As a thank you, any artist with an approved piece will receive a day pass, valued at $150, for themselves and one guest to attend the Art Show Reception. The date and time will be announced later. Artists must register in advance at CLAWinfo.org and will be provided a code or other redemption method to receive their pass. Passes must be secured ahead of time and will not be issued onsite.

Spa Terms - If offered

  • Eligibility
    1. You must have a package registration before booking a spa session. Proof of registration may be required at the time of booking.
  • Booking and Payment
    1. A total payment of $120 is required at the time of booking.
    2. If an appointment is canceled at least Twenty Four (24) hours before the scheduled time, $60 will be refunded. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days.
    3. Appointments must be booked at least two (2) hours in advance. If booking within two hours of the desired time, visit the spa at Room 23 to sign up in person, assuming availability.
  • Session Duration and Punctuality
    1. Each session is sixty (60) minutes in length.
    2. No more than one (1) session can be booked per day.
    3. Please arrive on time. Therapists will not extend sessions to accommodate late arrivals.
  • Gratuities
    1. Gratuities can be provided in cash or via the cash apps available from the therapist.
  • Massage Location and Setup
    1. All massages will take place at the Hyatt Regency Downtown, Columbus.
    2. The room will be divided into sections using pipe and drape to provide privacy.
  • Scope of Services
    1. CLAW therapists will not provide sensual massages or any form of "Happy Ending."
    2. Massage therapy services are strictly professional and therapeutic.
  • Medical Disclaimer
    1. CLAW Corp and its therapists do not diagnose illnesses, diseases, or any physical or mental disorders.
    2. Therapists do not prescribe pharmaceuticals or medical treatments.
    3. Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical examinations, diagnosis, or treatment. It is recommended that you consult a physician for any medical concerns.
  • Assumption of Risk
    1. By booking a massage, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with the session, including but not limited to physical, physiological, or psychological effects that may occur during or after treatment.
    2. CLAW Corp and the therapist are not responsible for any adverse effects resulting from this or subsequent treatments.
  • Changes to Terms
    1. CLAW Corp reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

Sponsors and Advertisers

Refund Policy

  • No refund of any portion of sponsor and advertiser purchases that has been spent by CLAW to fulfill the terms of the sponsorship or advertising agreement (i.e. printing costs)
  • 90% refund of all other sponsorship and advertiser purchases if requested within 120 days of purchase and before 30 days prior to the next CLAW or Leather Getaway event, based on purchase date.
  • No refunds are given after 120 days or after 30 days prior to the next (based on purchase date) CLAW or Leather Getaway event, but 100% of your purchase price will be donated to worthy community charities.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Checks that do not not clear processing by CLAW’s bank for insufficient funds or any other reason will result in the cancellation of the sponsorship or advertising and assessment of a $40 service fee.
  2. Any sponsor or advertiser that attends CLAW acknowledges all of the following and agrees to abide by all rules and regulations set forth for CLAW attendees, including:
  3. Attendees must be at least 18 years of age to attend any CLAW event and at least 21 years of age to attend any CLAW event where liquor is served;
  4. CLAW prohibits firearms, weapons, and illegal drugs at our event;
  5. Attendees will hold blameless CLAW Corp., its Board of Directors, and contractors for damages to person or property at the event;
  6. CLAW Corp. is not responsible for the actions of its volunteers;
  7. CLAW Corp. has the right to refuse admittance to anyone and to remove anyone after admittance for any reason;
  8. At all public events, including the hotel lobby & elevators, proper "cover up" attire is required as prescribed by California law;
  9. For the privacy of our attendees, those using a camera or video must follow CLAW's Photo Policy, which will be posted on CLAW’s website and available at CLAW Registration;
  10. Violation of any of the rules established by CLAW Corp. ,may be grounds for removal from this event without any reimbursement of fees paid.
  11. That I will hold blameless CLAW Corp., its Executive Committee and Board Of Directors, its members, sponsors and all property owners producing this event for damage or injury to myself or my personal property;
  12. That CLAW Corp. is not responsible for the actions of its many volunteers;
  13. The Executive Committee and/or Board Of Directors of CLAW Corp. has the right to refuse anyone from attending any CLAW Weekend event, and may modify these rules & regulations at any time without notice;
  14. That I have also been made aware that should any mailed-in check not clear processing by my bank, (i.e. NSF, etc.) that my registration will be canceled automatically, and a $40 Service Fee will be imposed should I reinstate my Registration;
  15. That I will be automatically subscribed to CLAW Corp.'s MailChimp mailing list and that I can unsubscribe at any time.

Other Terms and Conditions

By completing a CLAW Weekend Registration Form, I hereby affirm and acknowledge all of the following:

  1. I will be at least 21 years of age before attending any CLAW event where liquor is served.
  2. I will not bring any firearms, weapons, or drugs not specifically prescribed by a physician or available over the counter.
  3. I will hold blameless CLAW Corp., its Board of Directors, contractors, volunteers, sponsors and all property owners producing this event for damage or injury to myself or my personal property.
  4. CLAW Corp. is not responsible for the actions of its volunteers.
  5. CLAW Corp. has the right to refuse anyone from attending any CLAW event, and may modify these rules & regulations at any time without notice.
  6. At all public events, including the hotel lobby & elevators, all bar events, transportation between events, etc., proper attire is required as required by local law(s).
  7. To protect attendee privacy, if I take photos or videos, I must abide by the CLAW Corp.'s Photo Policy (below).
  8. Violation of any of the rules established by CLAW Corp. may be grounds for my removal from this event without any reimbursement of fees paid.

  10. I will be automatically subscribed to CLAW Corp.'s MailChimp mailing list. I can unsubscribe at any time.

CLAW Code of Conduct

Adopted by the CLAW Board of Directors, March 2019

  1. We do not condone predatory behavior, abuse or intimidation. No means no. Everyone attending a CLAW event has both the right and the responsibility to stop any unwanted behavior directed at them from others.
  2. Disrespect of the rights of other attendees will not be tolerated. People who are deemed a safety problem by CLAW management may be removed from the event without a ticket refund.

HARASSMENT

CLAW is obligated to provide harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, race, gender, gender identity & expression, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, personal beliefs, fetish interests, or religion. The policy applies to everyone in attendance including: staff, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, educators, and board members. All attendees of CLAW acknowledge that they are attending a sex-positive event that contains sexually explicit content.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Discrimination, unfair treatment based on age, race, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, personal beliefs, fetish interests, or religion
  • Unwanted physical contact of any kind
  • Unwelcome sexual attention
  • Harassing photography or video recording. (please see CLAW Corp.'s Photo Policy)
  • Deliberate intimidation, threats, stalking, or following

When a participant is asked to stop harassing behavior, they are expected to comply immediately. No means no - if you are asked by another individual to leave them alone then you must respect their wishes.

Individuals experiencing harassment or having a conflict with another attendee should cease further interaction and contact any Working Volunteer and ask to speak with Staff immediately. Our IRT or upper management staff will take a report immediately.

REPORTING

If you are subject to unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subject to unacceptable behavior, or have concerns that this Code of Conduct is not being followed, notify a working CLAW Volunteer or submit to the INCIDENT REPORTING page as soon as possible. All reports will remain confidential.

CLAW Drug Policy

In addition to the Code of Conduct, CLAW has a 0% tolerance for illegal drugs at our event. If you think you might have a problem with crystal, heroin, cocaine or other party drugs, please call 855-DRUGFREE.

ENFORCEMENT

CLAW acknowledges the responsibility we have to ensure the safety of participants. Failure to abide by these policies may result in the following:

  1. Warning
  2. Removal from the event
  3. Referral to venue security
  4. Referral to public safety or law enforcement

Any person who is deemed to have flagrantly violated this code of conduct may have their participation in all CLAW events revoked and barred from the premises of any CLAW venue.

Any person whose participation is revoked is automatically prohibited from registering for any subsequent CLAW events as an attendee, volunteer, vendor, educator, or sponsor until such time as their attendance is approved by the Board of Directors & Planning Team.

CLAW Event Photography Policy

All of the CLAW events take place in what is considered "Public Domain," so your photo can be taken by anyone and used in any manner the photographer wishes. So be careful as to whom you allow to take your picture.

We respect your privacy, as do the members of the media/press and photographers that we allow to officially take photos at our events. They will have an official CLAW "Photographer" badge (in addition to their regular badge), and the photos they take may be shown on the CLAW (or other) website, be used for future CLAW promotions/advertising, or be placed in a gay/leather publication.

Diversity, Inclusion & Accessibility

CLAW is committed to making its events a safe and welcoming environment for all adults (18 years and older). CLAW wants each attendee to understand that diversity and inclusion are active choices and not just passive assumptions. CLAW is a men's event. CLAW believes that the label men is inclusive of Trans Men. All Male Only play spaces include trans men.

All other spaces are open and welcoming to all people regardless of age, race, gender, gender identity & expression, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, personal beliefs, fetish interests, or religion and those expressing curiosity about the scene in a respectful manner. In order to achieve the reality of inclusion, several concepts must be considered, and several must be actualized.
