  • Check your email for an email titled "We want you to volunteer for CLAW" before contacting us. If you cannot find your code:

If you did not fulfill your volunteer responsibilities last year, we still appreciate your return but you are not eligible for the deposit waiver.

  • Do you know anyone within the CLAW organization who can vouch for your work ethic or ability?
  • You may request a deferral by clicking here and completing the form.

Some positions have specific required skills or eligibility for participation. This includes, but is not limited to, CLAW photographers and Cashiers. These positions need to be vetted by the department Coordinator. Another type of recruited position is CLAW Event Talent. This includes, but is not limited to, Bar Party Dancers, Kinky Kabaret acts, and Bound & Beautiful Tops/Models. These positions also require a vetting/audition process from their coordinators. If you are interested in any of these types of shifts, contact us HERE (link) and we will forward your information to the appropriate coordinator.

Volunteers, on average, work 8-10 hours during two 4-5 hour shifts; however, some shifts are longer or shorter than that. We try to do our best to make it a total of 8 hours but due to shift demands, it's not always possible.

Volunteer shifts are selected during registration. Each shift has a brief description and restrictions (such as need to stand or lift), so you can pick days, times, and options that work for you.

Deposits will be processed a few weeks after CLAW concludes. Due to banking rules and regulations, some refunds will have to be processed by check, which will take longer than the credit card refunds.

Yes.

Go to Registration -> My Registrations menu. When you cancel your volunteer registration, Guest Services will take care of canceling your shift assignments, addons, and process any refund due per the registration Terms and Conditions.

The shift assignments have short descriptions of the job responsibilities and requirements. Volunteer Management will be in contact with you regarding your shift choices and any training information that might be required before the Event.

Generally, you may dress comfortably for your assignment. Do not wear anything that would inhibit your ability to communicate with others. All assignments are different and you will be given more details from Volunteer Management closer to the event.

Educator, Vendor, Staff, and Talent Questions

Vendor booth staff is not a CLAW volunteer assignment. However, each vendor receives a limited number of CLAW registrations to use for their staff as part of a booth reservation. Contact the vendor to see if you can receive one of its registrations.

Participating in presenting a class will get you a complimentary educator package. If you would like access to the other perks of being a volunteer, such as the hospitality room/complimentary meals, then you will be required to complete volunteer shifts as well. You can find these shifts when you register in the Volunteer shifts tab.

Pup events are listed in the regular volunteer shifts.

There are two shifts related to this: Coffee Sign Up (helping sign up people to receive coffee service) and Coffee Maker/runner (helping make the coffee). For the actual coffee delivery, we would like as many service pups and service oriented boys and slaves to enjoy working the coffee service. We will be asking people to sign up for this event and they will receive a limited edition Service pup/boy tshirt. Pup Coffee service is an event not a volunteer shift.
