BODY CAST DEMO at the BDSM ART SHOW! Artist Philip Hitchcock (Mr. Midwest Leather 2010) will demonstrate bodycasting techniques using a live model at the opening of CLAW's BDSM Art show Friday, April 29th at 6PM and again Saturday morning at 11AM. Men interested in being a model may contact the artist directly at philip@philiphitchcock.com LIFECASTING or BODYCASTING is an exciting and powerful art form that has been used for centuries to immortalize its subjects. Today's high-tech methods are streamlined and accurate enough to duplicate fingerprints, wrinkles, even eyelashes! PHD?Gallery owner Philip Hitchcock has been "making impressions" for more than 20 years. His work is part of the permanent collection of Saint Louis University Museum of Art (SLUMA) and he recently completed the portrait bust of Dr. Richard Chaifetz for permanent display at The Chaifetz Arena. FOX?TV commissioned Hitchcock to create over 20 full bodysculptures for its hit show "The?Swan," and The WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) retained the artist to create bodycast sculptures of its wrestling "superstars" for the "Wrestlemania" Fan Access show held at Toronto's Skydome. Hitchcock's work can be seen on the small and big screen including "Sexcetera," "TV Guide Television," and a local ---feature on "Living St. Louis."

Invitation

• All artists are invited to submit works for review by our panel of judges for consideration in this year's art show. Artists will be notified whether their work is selected within thirty days.
• An Art Sales Counter will accompany the show and CLAW will sell originals or prints of artwork in the show. A 25% commission will be charged, all of which will be donated to community charities.
• Artists need not be present at CLAW to participate in the Art Show or the Art Sales Counter.

Criteria for the Juried Show

• Each work must depict a form of leather or other fetish eroticism.
• All types of media are acceptable.
• There is no entry fee to apply to be in the show, however all finalists must make a donation to the CLAW Silent Auction. It may be any piece, or any other merchandise donation. 100% of monies raised during the auction go directly to our community charities.
• Two CLAW Art Awards will be given; (1) Best of Show as determined by the jury, and (2) Peoples Choice Award as chosen by the convention attendees.
• Submission of works must be jpeg images sent via email to artshow@clawinfo.org along with a short artist biography.

Deadlines/Dates

• Submissions for CLAW 10 BDSM art show opened in November 2010.
• Submission deadline of works via email by March 17th, 2011.
• All artists will be notified with thirty days of receipt of submissions.
• BDSM Art Show Opening Parting - Friday April 29th, 6:00 - 7:00 pm
• CLAW Art Awards winner's announcement - Saturday April 30th, 8:00 PM.
